Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

You can play without creating an account. When you complete a puzzle, we record the puzzle number, number of moves, whether Hint or Reveal was used, the page type, and completion time. Your browser creates a random identifier for this purpose. Our server converts it to a one-way keyed hash before storage so that one browser is counted once per puzzle. We do not store the raw identifier, IP address, or user agent in the puzzle-completion table.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. Hosting, security and analytics providers may also process standard request and device information in order to deliver, protect and measure the site. We do not sell personal information.

2. Browser storage and analytics

Local storage keeps your light or dark theme and the random identifier used to deduplicate puzzle completions. Clearing site data resets these values. We use Google Analytics, Pageview and Microsoft Clarity to understand page use and improve the experience. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

3. Advertising

We may use Google AdSense to display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this site or other websites, personalize ads where permitted, and measure advertising performance. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. Other third-party advertising vendors or networks may also use cookies under their own policies; where available, you can review additional opt-out choices at YourAdChoices. Where required, consent controls will be provided before advertising cookies are enabled.

4. Storage and service providers

Puzzle completion records are stored with Supabase. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. We retain information only as reasonably needed to run, secure and understand the service, meet legal obligations, and handle support requests. Links to other websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.

5. Your choices

You may clear local storage and cookies through your browser. Contact us to request access to or deletion of information you submitted by email. Because completion records use a one-way browser hash and are not tied to an account, we may not be able to identify a particular anonymous record. The site is not intended to collect personal information from children; a parent or guardian may request removal.
